How To Identify Toxic People And How To Get Rid Of Them

Posted: October 7, 2015

Be it your parents, your children, your closest friends, no one – no matter who they are or what position they hold in your life – has the right to infect your environment with negativity, make you feel lesser about yourself, make you question your self worth or try to force you to live the life they think is best for you. Always remember to surround yourself with people who uplift you and are good to you and for you and visit places that make you happy. Get involved with new people or engage in new situations. Focus yourself in new directions away from the toxic person you’re avoiding. Avoiding people who need to be removed from your life might be difficult at first, but eventually they will get the hint. Many relationships in our lives can end this way naturally after they’ve run their course so it can be done.

Be fearless. Rather than break – rise. Accept, embrace that people are people – they change. Don’t get defensive and push people away. Importantly, DON’T blame yourself. It’s a understandable reaction, but an inappropriate one. If others couldn’t love us, or love us in ways that worked, that’s not our fault. Learn to separate yourselves from the behavior of others. And take responsibility for your healing, regardless of the people around you.

Learn to walk light, leave the baggage down. It’s a long journey. And the road can get treacherous. Wear your pain easily as you would wear your happiness. Even when you feel it’s killing you – tread gently. Don’t let grief and despair chain you. Don’t be in a hurry to heal and be whole. If you feel broken, so be it – let the gaps get filled with understanding and compassion.

I have found at these times of unrest to focus the energies and thoughts toward gratitude. It may be as simple as sharing a meal with a dear one or cooking something special. I tend to bake a lot both when I am feeling low and when I’m happy. Which means there are phases when I am baking furiously. No one is complaining on that front though but few realize this has become by safety valve. I strongly believe if I cannot find that place or space of happiness then I must contribute it to another’s life.

The ruling planet for Capricorn is Saturn. Considered the taskmaster of the Zodiac, Saturn rules theories, scientific law, patience, timing, tradition, conventionality, and the productive use of time. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. In ancient Roman mythology, Saturn was the father of many of the gods. Consider him top dog, if you will, and then you’ll see a parallel to Capricorns. Those born under this sign also want to be the top dog, and they’re smart enough to know that the title won’t simply be handed to them.

Pisces are stronger then they think and wiser then they know. Pisces live in two worlds at all times. One is in their head, which has a huge ocean and mermaids and the other one our real world. Much as they love company, a Pisces is seldom lonely. Every now and then he retreats in his own world of magic. In fact, the Moon in the Tarot Cards represents Pisces.
